Rooftop Solar, Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojan

4. Suitable Rooftop Solar Plant Capacity:

   - Based on average monthly electricity consumption (in units):

     - Up to 150 units: Suitable rooftop solar plant capacity of 1-2 kW (Subsidy: ₹30,000 to ₹60,000)

     - 150-300 units: Suitable rooftop solar plant capacity of 2-3 kW (Subsidy: ₹60,000 to ₹78,000)

     - Above 300 units: Suitable rooftop solar plant capacity of above 3 kW (Subsidy: ₹78,000)


5. Application Process:

  • Visit the [official website](https://www.myscheme.gov.in/schemes/pmsgmb).
  •  Provide necessary details for registration.
  •  Apply for rooftop solar installation.
  • Wait for feasibility approval from the electricity distribution company (DISCOM).
  • Once approved, install the solar plant through registered vendors.
  •  Apply for a net meter.
  • After installation and inspection, the DISCOM will generate a commissioning certificate.
  •  Submit bank account details for subsidy disbursement.

     - Enter your Mobile Number

     - Enter your Email


3. Login and Apply:

   - Once registered, log in using your mobile number.

   - Proceed to fill out the online application form for rooftop solar installation.


4. *Feasibility Approval*:

   - Wait for feasibility approval from your DISCOM (Electricity Distribution Company).

   - Once you receive feasibility approval, proceed to install the solar plant through any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM.


5. Net Meter Installation:

   - After installation, apply for a net meter.

   - The DISCOM will inspect the installation and generate a commissioning certificate.


6. Subsidy Disbursement:

   - Submit your bank account details through the portal.

   - You will receive the subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.
